Je me suis alors propos\u00e9e de l\u2019interviewer, afin de d\u00e9crire son travail de recherche sur la pratique du chamanisme men\u00e9e lors du tournage d&#8217;<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.openedition.org\/theoremes\/758\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrea<\/a>\u00a0(un film documentaire long m\u00e9trage).<\/p><p>Natacha m\u2019a ensuite propos\u00e9 de l\u2019accompagner et devenir son assistante, \u00e0 la fois sur le plan artistique, logistique et technique, sur ce nouveau projet de film documentaire <i>Plut\u00f4t Mourir que Mourir<\/i>.\u00a0<\/p><p>J\u2019ai ainsi pu participer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9criture du film pour la maison de production Seconde Vague, l\u2019aidant \u00e0 articuler les diff\u00e9rentes strates historiques, personnelles et symboliques du projet.<\/p><p>En tant qu\u2019assistante op\u00e9rateur, j\u2019ai ensuite pris part au tournage, notamment lors des rep\u00e9rages et des prises de vues dans les <i>creutes<\/i> du nord de la France, mais aussi au Warburg Institute \u00e0 Londres, puis \u00e0 Hambourg, au sein de la biblioth\u00e8que d&#8217;Aby W.<\/p><p>J\u2019ai \u00e9galement contribu\u00e9 au film en tant que performer : Ce sont mes mains qui apparaissent \u00e0 l\u2019image et tournent les pages des carnets de Warburg et manipulent les documents d&#8217;archive qui entrent en dialogue avec les traces laiss\u00e9es par l\u2019historien.<\/p><p>J\u2019ai enfin propos\u00e9 cette image de s\u00e9quence chor\u00e9graphique : une danse rituelle Hopi (&#8220;le peuple de la paix&#8221;) entre v\u00eatements traditionnels et costume militaire, mettant en parall\u00e8le les pas indiens et les motifs form\u00e9s par les bless\u00e9s de guerre nomm\u00e9s &#8220;shell shocked&#8221; people. Il s&#8217;agissait de tisser un lien formel entre le discours de Warburg, son exp\u00e9rience de la folie, et celle de la puissance symbolique du mouvement du serpent comme forme de connaissance.\u00a0<\/p><p>Si le travail <i>par <\/i>les gestes fonde le coeur de la recherche artistique de Natacha, il forme \u00e9galement la trame du film, venant tramer la mati\u00e8re du pr\u00e9sent avec les mat\u00e9riaux du pass\u00e9 telle une m\u00e9moire-temps des corps qui joue \u00e0 travers le mouvement des espaces-corps.<\/p><p>Le film explore deux r\u00e9cits parall\u00e8les : celui des Hopis enr\u00f4l\u00e9s malgr\u00e9 eux dans la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale pour obtenir l&#8217;identit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine, et celui d\u2019Aby Warburg, historien de l\u2019art intern\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, dont les recherches et les obsessions visuelles deviennent une tentative d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9e, mais pourtant lucide, de compr\u00e9hension du monde.<\/p><p>\u00c0 travers les images d&#8217;archives, celle de <em>reenactment<\/em> des guerres de tranch\u00e9es, ou les gestes rituels des Hopis, le film interroge la m\u00e9moire de la Grande Guerre tout autant que les formes prises par la souffrance qu&#8217;elle a apport\u00e9e et les possibles chemins de r\u00e9paration \u00e0 faire pour s&#8217;en \u00e9manciper.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b9cc1e elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"7b9cc1e\"
